15 Years Later, Here's What Coloressence Still Believes In!

The beauty world keeps changing every few months. There is a new trend, a new product, or a product that goes out of fashion. And what’s the one thing that remained the same in all these years?

We were born out of the need to make women feel confident and comfortable in the makeup they would wear, as there were only limited options in the market. Coloressence came with an approach to drive for premium quality of products at an affordable range. This is what formed the foundation of Coloressence over these 15 years.

It Was Never About Selling Make-Up

We always believed that makeup is more than a mere product you purchase.

While some women use it daily and spend five minutes on applying, others may choose to experiment with various trends on their weekends. Each one of them has their own way to use it. There is no “one box fits all” when it comes to beauty, and as a brand, we wanted to let women make their own path rather than getting them to adapt ours.

Each Skin Tone Deserves To Be Represented

Our country is as diverse as it gets. And so are women living in India.

With many skin tones, many features, many styles and many personalities. We did not understand why there should be only one vision of beauty when women are so diverse.That is why from the start, we tried to develop products which work for many Indian skin tones. Everyone should be able to find the shade that suits her best and not just one close enough.

Representation is not an option.

Women Have Many Roles Every Day

Another thing we learned during our 15 years in this business is that women wear many hats every single day. One morning you answer your work emails, then attend a family function in the evening, help your kid do his homework and somehow manage to take care of yourself.

Women can be students, founders, doctors, artists, teachers, homemakers, creators, athletes, professionals or anything you can think of. Most likely, every single one of these roles describes a woman in your life. And no woman can be fully described by one profession. We always admire this fact.

And That Is The Reason For #HerManyShades Campaign

While we were thinking about what Coloressence represents now, we realised that our products were always created for various women with different stories.

Instead of developing yet another campaign that would focus on our make-up, we decided to dedicate this project to women wearing our products.

#HerManyShades is our recognition that each woman has many facets.

Some days you are strong, some days you are vulnerable. She is ambitious, caring, fearless, emotional, funny, creative, determined and ever-evolving. Each version of a woman deserves to be seen. It is not about fitting into the single beauty perception but celebrating all your versions of yourself.

Here Is To The Next Chapter

Looking back at these 15 years of success and growth, we are truly grateful to each one our customers and people who even gave us feedback. And no matter how much we will grow in the future, one thing will always remain the same.

We will always produce make-up products for real women with different skin tones, professions, personalities and stories.

Because beauty does not have to be the same for everyone.

And that is why #HerManyShades helps us remember this fact every day

Every woman has many stories.

Many dreams.

Many roles.

Many shades.

And every one of them deserves celebration.
